TOPlay, the earphone of today !

ME-WE introduces TOPlay, the first earphone bringing together

HEALTH, SAFETY, COMFORTABLE LISTENING AND CONVIVIALITY!

Finally a product responding to the major inconveniences of present earphones.

The TOPlay earphone, which was awarded two medals at the 35th Inventions Fair at Geneva in 2007, is now recognised as a major invention of the 3rd Millennium.

The product of research on health, safety and listening comfort by its inventor, Mr Joseph Peng, the TOPlay earphone is an instant hit with anyone who tries it.

A simple but revolutionary idea, the OGS (Open Guided Sound) allows the TOPlay earphone to be attached to the ear by clipping it onto the earlobe, thereby immersing the listener in his favourite music while he still remains in contact with the direct sound environment.

The OGS

The OGS (Open Guided Sound), as opposed to the sound that is enclosed within the ear, allows the user to listen to music in unparalleled comfort. In effect, with the OGS system, the sound circulates freely towards the ear drum and allows the ear to “breathe”.

HEALTH , SAFETY, LISTENING COMFORT AND CONVIVIALITY !

Health - Certain earphones available on the market must be inserted in the ear, very close to the ear drum, risking permanent damage to the internal ear because of the diffusion of sounds of too high intensity.

According to a study of 14 March 2006 carried out by ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association), over half of polled university students reported having at least one symptom linked to loss of hearing. The study, which examined the use of such equipment as MP3 players, evaluated the sensitivity of the public to the hearing problems caused by noise. Experts declared that the users of these players listened to them for too long at volumes that are too high. Nearly 10 million Americans are suffering from hearing problems resulting from exposure to noise and between now and 2009, 945 million units of audio equipment of this type are expected to be distributed around the world.

Compared to traditional earphones, TOPlay, through its OGS (Open Guided Sound) system, reduces by more than 30 times the audio pressure on the ear drum, while preserving an excellent sound quality.

Safety -TOPlay, also thanks to its OGS system, allows the listener to remain attentive to his environment. Whether walking or skating, cycling or driving, the user is able not only to listen to his favourite music but also to remain aware of any potential dangers around him.

It is interesting to note that most people who normally cannot bear the traditional earpieces are pleasantly surprised and adopt the TOPlay earphone after the first trial.

Listening comfort - TOPlay is equally original in its fixation system which makes it unnoticeable to the wearer. Once clipped on, it allows two magnets to attract each other on each side of the ear lobe, thus being attached in a totally comfortable and pleasant manner. The minuscule speaker so placed leaves the sound to disperse freely and with an ideal pressure in the listener’s ear.

Conviviality - With its special characteristics, the TOPlay earphone allows an opening to the outside world in all situations. In effect, this feature, researched by its inventor, Mr Joseph Peng, offers music lovers the opportunity to chat against a background of music. It is something we could call “ audio bio-availability”!
